EU Council releases ePrivacy progress report

The Presidency of the Council of the European Union has published a progress report on the proposed ePrivacy Regulation. The most significant modification in the latest draft refers to the possibility of relying on the legitimate interest as grounds to process metadata and place cookies or similar technologies on users devices.
