CIPL responds to EDPB's consultation on Binding Corporate Rules

The Centre for Information Policy Leadership (CIPL) has responded to the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) public consultation about its recommendations on the application for approving controller binding corporate rules (BCRs). In its response, CIPL highlights the important role of BCRs as a data transfer mechanism under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and that their use adoption be promoted and made more straightforward. The CIPL paper outlines a number of recommendations.
