EU Parliament committee approves online child sex abuse rules

The EU Parliament's civil liberties committee has approved a proposal allowing technology companies to continue voluntarily tracking online child sexual abuse. "The European Parliament does not wish to interrupt this practice, but urges instead to provide for additional safeguards for using this technology," said the text's rapporteur MEP Birgit Sippel.
