Amazon faces German lawsuit over continued use of Privacy Shield

The European Society for Data Protection (EuGD) has taken legal action against Amazon over its alleged continued use of the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield agreement after it was invalidated by the CJEU Union's "Schrems II" ruling. EuGD filed the lawsuit in a Munich court on behalf of a German citizen, who also alleged Amazon did not fulfil his data subject request under the GDPR.
