CJEU to rule on data protection non-material damage claims

Germany's Federal Constitutional Court has asked the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) to rule on data protection breach damages. The CJEU will clarify when non-material damage caused by a data protection breach is serious enough to justify a claim for damages under article 82 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
