CJEU asked to rule on right to online anonymity

The Hight Coury in Ireland has asked the EU Court of Justice to decide how to balance opposing fundamental rights of EU citizens. The case will test whether the public interest to disclose an individuals identity outweighs the right to privacy, the protection of personal data and freedom of expression.
