Ofcom fines adult website £600k for OSA age verification violations

UK communications regulator, Ofcom, has fined Youngtek Solutions Ltd £500,000 for failing to implement age verification checks required under the Online Safety Act 2023 (OSA) to prevent children from accessing pornography. The company has also been fined a further £100,000 for failing to respond to information requests within the timeframe set by the regulator.
Youngtek has now implemented age-assurance measures across all sites under Ofcom's investigation.
