Austrian privacy group noyb has posted an update on its 2021 campaign against illegal cookie practices. In 2021, noyb scanned the Internet and filed more than 700 complaints across Europe. Eighteen months later, noyb repeated its scan, calculating comparison values for 1,631 websites. The results revealed over half of the sites had improved their cookie banner practices. Noyb also confirmed it plans to continue its campaign against misleading cookie banners and extend it to include sites using Consent Management Platforms.
