6-months on and still no Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework

On the six-month anniversary of the Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework agreement in principle, Austrian privacy group noyb asks where the deal is in reality. Despite all the promises, rumours claim the US does not intend to provide a Data Protection Review Court but an executive tribunal similar to Privacy Shield Ombudsperson, which the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) has already rejected. In a statement, Max Scrhems said, "we were promised a perfect solution by the end of the year. Now we may see the first steps by the end of the year. What I hear is also that these first steps are not solutions, but steps towards a third flawed deal." The article concludes that the deal "will likely be back at CJEU."
