Whether or not the UK is granted an adequacy decision will have an impact on what data protection regime may apply over certain acts of data processing by UK businesses based on the provisions in the EU/UK Withdrawal Agreement. Businesses might need to identify where personal data was processed before the end of the transition period, and what data is being processed once the transition period has ended.
