Microsoft launches data transfer measures in response to EDPB review

Microsoft announced it is launching measures in response to the EDPB's recommendations on supplementary measures for global data transfers. Chief Privacy Officer Julie Brill writes Microsoft will challenge any government requests for consumer data and also compensate users should their data be shared in violation of the GDPR. Following the announcement, German DPAs in Baden-WürttembergBavaria and Hesse all voiced their support for tech company's decision.
