Global technology providers launch Trusted Tech Alliance
13/02/2026 | Microsoft
At the Munich Security Conference, a group of 16 global technology companies from Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America announced the launch of the Trusted Tech Alliance (TTA). The alliance includes major technology companies, including AWS, Microsoft, Google Cloud, Nokia, Ericsson, and ASML. The TTA aims to address growing public mistrust of digital technologies by committing to shared standards for connectivity, cloud infrastructure, semiconductors, software, and artificial intelligence (AI).
Members have pledged to follow five core principles: transparent corporate governance, secure development with independent assessments, robust supply chain oversight, an inclusive digital ecosystem, and respect for the rule of law and data protection. The commitments apply regardless of a supplier's country of origin and are designed to ensure that technology is operated responsibly and securely throughout its lifecycle.
The TTA intends to work alongside governments and customers to build public trust while driving economic growth and job creation. The alliance also plans to expand its membership, seeking to foster an open and interoperable digital environment that supports global innovation and protects individual data rights in an increasingly complex technological landscape.
