WhatsApp introduces new privacy checkup feature

Meta has announced a series of new privacy features for WhatsApp, its encrypted messaging application. A new 'Privacy Checkup' tool will guide users through all the important privacy settings. Users can choose the level of protection that works best for them, and the feature will walk through multiple layers of security for messages, calls, and personal information. While the 'Silence Unknown Callers' feature enables users to automatically screen spam calls from unknown numbers. When switched on, calls will not ring but will show up in a user's call list.
