Meta to appeal €200m Consent or Pay fine under DMA

In a statement, Meta has confirmed that it intends to appeal the €200 million fine issued in April under the Digital Markets Act (DMA) concerning its Consent or Pay business model. The statement asserts that the "decision is both incorrect and unlawful" and "overlooks the commercial reality that, in a market economy, Meta deserves fair compensation for the valuable and innovative services that users choose to use."
