Italy and France issued highest GDPR fines

A study conducted by Privacy Affairs has measured all the fines issued by the various data protection authorities under the EU General Data Protection Regulation over the last three years. Spain handed out 222 financial penalties since the GDPR came into effect, followed by Italy with 73. For monetary amounts, Italy had the highest total with 76 million euros in fines, with France second at 54 million euros.
