Europe has its own Pegasus spyware company

Reports have emerged that an Italian company is conducting mass surveillance on people around the world. The company's clients include countries with a history of corruption and human rights abuses. Tykelab, owned by RCS Lab, has developed a hacking tool called Hermit that can be used to activate the microphone of any smartphone remotely it's installed on. It can then record calls, access messages, call logs, contacts, photos and other sensitive data.
