Irish DPC fines Twitter €450k

The Irish Data Protection Commission has issued Twitter with the first cross-border fine for failing to declare promptly and properly document a data breach under the GDPR. The regulator said, "the DPC imposed an administrative fine of €450,000 on Twitter as an effective, proportionate and dissuasive measure." The IAPP has a full write-up of the finalised GDPR fine.
