UK Cyber Monitoring Centre to open US counterpart
17/03/2026 | Infosecurity Magazine
The UK-based Cyber Monitoring Centre has announced plans to expand its operations to the US following its first year of monitoring domestic cyber events. Established in February 2025, the organisation assesses the economic and financial consequences of major cyber incidents on a scale of 0 to 5.
The nonprofit intends to establish a US legal entity and technical committee during 2026, with an official launch projected for 2027. The expansion will leverage existing global data partnerships to adapt the centre's analytics for the US economy. Current UK data contributors include the NHS, the British Chamber of Commerce, and the Office for National Statistics.
