KPMG survey reveals consumers abandon companies after data breach

A recent customer survey conducted by KPMG on over 2000 Canadians has revealed 84% of respondents would consider taking their business elsewhere if an organisation suffered a major data breach and failed to keep their data safe. Meanwhile, in the UK, hacking prosecutions are down 12% in 2019.
