60% increase in nuisance contact reports

The ICO has published figures confirming the number of reports of nuisance calls, texts and emails between January to June 2021 compared to 2020 has risen by 60%. On average, the ICO received 13,925 reports of nuisance calls, texts and emails per month in the first half of 2021, compared to just 8680 per month throughout the whole of 2020.
