Meta considering appeal over €17m fine for GDPR breaches

It should surprise nobody that Meta has said it is yet to decide whether it intends to appeal the €17m fine imposed by the Irish Data Protection Commissioner for a series of twelve data breaches that occurred between June and December 2018. A spokesperson for the parent company of Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp said “We’re still reviewing the decision.”
