Apple AirTags combine tracking, user privacy protection

Inc. Columnist Jason Aten writes about the relationship between privacy and tracking with Apple’s newly released AirTag tracking device. Aten says Apple averts privacy issues with the devices, which use an anonymous and encrypted process to track an item, with alerts triggered to notify of potential unwanted tracking. “I think it’s fair to say they just demonstrated you really can build products designed to be tracked, that still protect user privacy,” Aten writes.
