Local Authority employee fined £400 for deleting audio file

An employee of Whitchurch Town Council was convicted under Section 77 of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Nicola Young was fined £400, plus £1,493 costs along with a victim surcharge of £40 for deliberately obstructing records with the intent to prevent disclosure.
