ICO unveils UK GDPR certification for training providers

03/03/2023 | ICO

The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has approved the criteria for the fourth UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) Certification Scheme covering training and qualification service providers. The scheme aims to "promote confidence in training companies" so that data subjects can be sure their personal data will be processed lawfully in accordance with the UK GDPR. The ICO has approved the APM Group Ltd (APMG) to administer the scheme. It still needs to be confirmed, but we are informed APMG is in the final stages of becoming the scheme's UKAS-accredited certification body. Audits will be conducted by The Trust Bridge.
