ICO responds to 5Rights Foundation claims of Children's code breaches

Information Commissioner Elizabeth Denham is asking technology companies how they assess applications to determine age ratings. The ICO has written 40 organisations "to identify conformance" with the  Age-Appropriate Design Code. Responding to an Open Letter from child safety charity 5Rights Foundation, which raised concerns of systematic breaches, Ms Denham said, interventions are focused "on operators of online services where there is information which indicates potential poor compliance with privacy requirements, and where there is a high risk of potential harm to children."
