ICO releases Capita data breach statement

The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has released a statement confirming that it is investigating two data breach incidents related to Capita, a cyber-attack that occurred in March and the use of publicly accessible storage.

A number of organisations have reported to the ICO about being directly affected by these incidents. As a result, Capita's clients are urged to check whether their personal data has been compromised and to report any data breaches to the ICO within 72 hours of becoming aware of them.
