ICO publishes draft guidance on transparency in health and social care

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has published new draft guidance on transparency in health and social care. The guidance supplements the existing guidance on the principle of transparency and the right to be informed, providing further details on general transparency requirements. Transparency is a crucial principle of the Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK General Data Protection Regulation. 

The ICO has launched a public consultation on the guidelines, which closes on 7th January 2024.
