ICO publishes draft anonymisation and pseudonymisation guidance for research

The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has published draft guidance and launched a consultation on the use of anonymisation and pseudonymisation for research. The guidance is intended to support those who process personal data for research, archiving or statistical (RAS) purposes, addressing the need for appropriate technical and organisational safeguards, and how the two techniques can be used in practice. The consultation closes on 19 October.
