ICO publishes a people's panel report on neurotechnology and data

A new report published by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in conjunction with Nesta's Centre for Collective Intelligence (CCI) has revealed the findings of a Citizens' Jury examining public attitudes towards neurotechnology and neurodata.
The initiative brought together a diverse panel of 20 UK citizens, who received specialist guidance and deliberated to form priorities and recommendations on the rapidly advancing field.
Neurotechnology encompasses applications ranging from medical treatments and wellbeing tools to workplace safety systems and prospective consumer products. The report highlights that when deployed effectively, these technologies could help individuals manage health conditions, enhance personal wellbeing, reduce operational risks in safety-critical employment sectors, and unlock new commercial opportunities for UK innovators.
