The ICO has announced a public consultation into "how it regulates the laws it monitors and enforces." The ICO is seeking feedback in three areas with the aim of improving its, Regulatory Action Policy, Statutory Guidance on Regulatory Action, and Statutory Guidance on PECR Powers. "We are focussed on promoting best practice and compliance but, where it is necessary, we will exercise a fair and proportionate approach to enforcement action," ICO Chief Regulatory Officer James Dipple-Johnstone said. The consultation closes on the 24th March 2022.
