07/07/2025 | ICO

The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has launched two new consultations. The first relates to a new chapter in its storage and access technologies guidance (formerly known as the detailed cookies guidance) which clarifies updates following the introduction of the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (DUA Act).

Meanwhile, the second consultation is seeking views and opinions concerning the ICO's new enforcement approach for privacy-preserving advertising models.

Additional legal analysis by Pinsent Masons.
