ICO fines Zuwyco Limited £160,000

The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has fined lead generation company Zuwyco Limited £160,000 for a serious infringement of regulations 21 and 24 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR). The company had made 93,558 unsolicited marketing calls to individuals registered on the Telephone Preference Service (TPS), resulting in seven complaints.
