ICO discusses common privacy compliance issues businesses face

The ICO addresses several common themes in its latest blog, following a recent ICO presentation on the persistent UK General Data Protection Regulation compliance issues that businesses face when managing data protection compliance. During the Financial Conduct Authority's Virtual Women's Economic Empowerment TechSprint, the ICO revealed common queries on accountability, special category data processing and consent as a lawful basis for processing. "We were able to point out and help work through challenges that teams hadn't yet thought about and prevent barriers further down the line."
