Former RAC employee fined £5,000 for stealing traffic accident data

An investigation by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has led to a former RAC employee, Asif Iqbal Khan, being fined £5,000, plus court costs of £937.40 and a victim surcharge of £170 by Dudley Magistrates' Court, after pleading guilty to two counts of data theft in breach of section 170 of the Data Protection Act.
