COVID-19: ICO supports NHS vaccine research and EDPS conference

Since July, the ICO has been working with NHS Digital as part of its regulatory sandbox in order to help deliver a 'data protection by design' driven mechanism to sign volunteers up to COVID-19 vaccine research. A focus of this support has been ensuring ‘data protection by design’ into the service. Access the full report. In other COVID-19 news, the EDPS is to host an online event Data for the public good: Building a healthier digital future at the 2021 CPDP conference on the 25th January, which will assess the impact of measures taken to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic and identify how to improve data usage when preparing for the next one.
