US House American Privacy Rights Act markup canceled

On Thursday morning, the US House Energy and Commerce Committee cancelled its scheduled markup of the draft American Privacy Rights Act (APRA). The last-minute decision to remove the APRA from the agenda follows a week of stakeholder opposition and reported disagreement over the latest version of the bill, which was released on 20 June.
