Privacy reflections 20 years after 9/11

Twenty years on from the 9/11 terrorist attacks rocked the world, a chain reaction continues to impact privacy and data protection. Today, as more companies employ biometric technology and artificial intelligence systems, the IAPP asks if data can be used for good. “It’s going to take privacy by design, ethical frameworks, strong data protection, transparency, diversity and inclusion. It’s going to take hard work, communication and vigilance.”
