Hidden video surveillance did not violate human rights

Five employees were fired from a Spanish supermarket in 2009 was fired after their employer caught them stealing through the use of closed-circuit TV cameras. The employees then filed an appeal to the Labor Tribunal for unlawful dismissal, which kicked off a decade-long legal battle. This article looks at the history of the case, including rulings on whether the firing violated Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights and a decision made by the European Court of Human Rights just last year.
