Hamburg DPA 'took the hard line' in fining Facebook for GDPR violation

Facebook's German unit has paid a fine of 51,000 euros for not properly appointing a data protection officer under the GDPR, a fine that may perk the ears of companies that have not yet done so under their GDPR obligations.
