ePrivacy Regulation — Q&A ahead of trilogue discussions

As privacy professionals look toward the start of tialogue discussions on the draft EU ePrivacy Regulation scheduled to start this summer, the IAPP  offer an overview of key provisions of the text approved by the Council of Ministers earlier this year. The focus is on three main areas: cookies, the scope of application of the regulation, and unsolicited direct marketing communications and spam. “The stakes are high and we should expect heated discussions.”
