DPAs are wrong to limit Subject Access Request extensions

Guidance from the ICO and the Netherlands' DPA limiting the response period for subject access requests "imposes unreasonable burdens on organisations in the midst of a large security breach," according to this IAPP opinion piece. The guidance is also not in line with that of other authorities and the legislative history of the EU GDPR and "it is high time the European Data Protection Board provides uniform guidance."
