An analysis of the DCMS proposals for the Data Reform Bill

Following last week's release of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport's proposal for data protection reform, those working within the industry were left to pick through the details. In this article for the IAPP, Bird & Bird's Ruth Boardman and Emma Drake (CIPP/E) conducted a thorough analysis of the changes. The results are presented graphically using a traffic light system showing the degree of change organisations can expect. The closing remarks highlight that the government is expected to issue draft legislation as early as July.
