Google to remove location reminder feature

Google is planning to end its location reminder feature on mobiles and other smart devices using Google Assistant. The tool reminds users to do certain tasks in specific locations once the device calculates a precise location. Google did directly announce the change, but a fact sheet outlining Google Assistant's functions and practices shows that the application does track user data on devices. However, Google Assistant's privacy notice suggests it only collects data based on user settings and when the app is active.
