Reflections on the frist Japan Privacy Symposium

On 22 June, the Future of Privacy Forum and S&K Brussels held the first Japan Privacy Symposium in Tokyo, which brought together experts from around the world to discuss the intersection of data protection and privacy law with AI. The event (announced on 15 June) featured a keynote address from Commissioner Shuhei Ohshima, as well as two panels with prominent figures such as Rebecca Kelly Slaughter, Wojciech WiewiĆ³rowski, and Philippe Dufresne. The Symposium was attended by over 250 privacy leaders, lawyers, consultants, and journalists from Japan and the surrounding region.
