EU and US trade pact delayed by ongoing DSA dispute

The EU and US are still in a dispute over their recently announced joint trade statement, with the EU aiming to prevent the US from targeting its landmark digital regulations. The statement, which was expected in July, has been delayed by disagreements over "non-tariff barriers." According to EU officials, the US wants to keep the door open for potential concessions on the Digital Services Act (DSA), a request the European Commission has deemed a "red line."
