Industry calls on European Parliament to approve UK adequacy

A group of industry organisations are calling on the European Parliament to approve the draft resolution on UK adequacy during next week's plenary session. The coalition cites the importance of data transfers to the EU's economy. It is for this reason Parliament should sign the draft resolution, adding it could facilitate future adequacy decisions and even replace the EU-US Privacy Shield agreement. The group also expressed disappointment over last weeks comments made by LIBE to amend UK adequacy decision.
