Swiss DPA approves use of EU Commission's new SCCs

Switzerland's Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) has announced that it will recognise the European Commission's updated standard contractual clauses (SCCs) as a data transfer mechanism. However, the FDPIC confirmed that this approval is only applicable where "necessary adaptations and amendments are made" to level with Swiss law.
