Facebook updates user cookie controls in Europe

Facebook has announced it has made modifications to its cookie consent controls as a part of continuing efforts toward user control and alignment with the EU GDPR. As a result, users within the European region will see a new cookie consent prompt and a new settings menu on Facebook and Instagram where they can manage cookie consent decisions. “We’re giving people a more granular level of control over their cookie choices and more information on what we use different kinds of cookies for,” Facebook said.
