WhatsApp designated VLOP under DSA

The European Commission has confirmed that Meta-owned messaging app WhatsApp has been designated as a very large online platform (VLOP) under the Digital Services Act (DSA) because its average monthly users now exceed the 45 million threshold. WhatsApp now has 4 months to ensure its compliance under the Act.
