European Commission sends RFI to Temu and Shein under DSA

On Friday, 28 June 2024, the European Commission announced that it had sent a formal request for information (RFI) to Temu and Shein under the Digital Services Act (DSA) following a complaint submitted by the European Consumer Organisation (BEUC). 

The Commission is seeking responses from the two online marketplaces in several areas, including the protection of minors, dark patterns, the transparency of recommender systems, and more.
